We are really beginning to identify some of the themes in Flatland: social class structure, treatment of people who are different, stereotyping women, existence of a higher dimension. David Kahn, executive director of the North American Montessori Teacher Association, joined our discussion. We looked at the text a little closer and discussed the role of women in Flatland.  Students successfully completed another coin swap in 15 moves….I am sure they would love to show you.  Our first writing workshop of the year was very successful. Our class is very creative.  Tomorrow we will edit our writing in our grammar workshop. In the afternoon, we prepared for our Composting 101 lesson that we will be presenting to the school.  Some of the students worked on their individual research topics.  Great Monday everyone!
