Where in the world?

We had a lovely day today discussing mathematics, history, and grammar.  In Grammar, students were asked to apply their knowledge of sentences in famous works of literature.  They were asked to identify the type, structure, main idea, diction, effect, imagery, and tone in a sentence. Next, they imitated the sentences.  We will continue practicing these skills next week with a new sentence. We spent the afternoon beginning new projects.  The class divided up to create a timeline of Ancient China, a timeline comparing early civilizations, and an enlarged map identifying the 4 most well-known river civilizations.  Tomorrow we will continue work on the projects. Have a great night! Ms. Jenna
