Freeing of the Dragonfly

Over the weekend our last dragonfly larvae Timmy Tim Tom (he ate the others’ heads off) morphed into an adult. Unlike butterflies, dragonflies do not have a pupal stage in their life cycle, so he went straight to adulthood. We did have some complications though, he fell into the water at some point so it took a little longer than normal for him to dry off and be able to fly.

Garden day!

Today was a great day out in the garden. Our class and theĀ elementary class worked on the compost and preparing the garden for the winter. Hopefully we will have a good crop next year!

Sherlock Holmes

We were happy to have the sixth graders from Ms. Rachel’s class join us to help us solve the mystery.
