Over the weekend our last dragonfly larvae Timmy Tim Tom (he ate the others’ heads off) morphed into an adult. Unlike butterflies, dragonflies do not have a pupal stage in their life cycle, so he went straight to adulthood. We did have some complications though, he fell into the water at some point so it took a little longer than normal for him to dry off and be able to fly.

Today was a great day out in the garden. Our class and the elementary class worked on the compost and preparing the garden for the winter. Hopefully we will have a good crop next year!

We were happy to have the sixth graders from Ms. Rachel’s class join us to help us solve the mystery.

The class got creative and explored writing with humanity’s oldest known alphabet.

We are happy to return to our work of filling orders, stocking shelves and freezers, and helping the community.
